CCOPAB provides practical instructions in the course carried out by the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) in Brazil
From 11 to 13 November, the office of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) in Brazil, in partnership with the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), carried out the Course on Safe and Secure Approaches in Field Environments (SSAFE) in the facilities of Itamaraty Palace and of CCOPAB. The aim of the course is to enable civilians of the United Nations to carry out field works taking safety and security into account. On 13 November, the last day of activities, there were different practical exercises tackling movement techniques in risky areas, first-aid and conduct as hostages.
