CCOPAB welcomes the Brazilian War College Postgraduate program in International Security and Defense

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - On 9 June, 2022, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) received the visit of a delegation, made up of professors and students from the Postgraduate Program in International Security and Defense (PPGSID, acronym in Portuguese) from the Brazilian War College (ESG, acronym in Portuguese).

The purpose of the visit was to familiarize PPGSID students with the Brazilian participation in UN peacekeeping operations, highlighting the role of CCOPAB when it comes to preparation of military, police and civilian personnel, either from Brazil or from friendly nations, to work under the aegis of the United Nations or other international organizations. In addition, the visit provided students with a better understanding of the concepts and practices studied in the PPGSID disciplines.

CCOPAB Commander delivered an institutional lecture. Next, there was a visit to the facilities – an opportunity in which students were able to interact with members of the Evaluation Division, Doctrine division and the Division of Education and Training.
