The Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) participates in the preparation of the 54th Argentinian Task Force

Buenos Aires (ARG) – From August 12 to 26, CPT Camila Paiva, CCOPAB trainer, took part in the preparation of the 54th Argentinian Task Force, which will be deployed in the UN peace mission in Cyprus (UNFCYP). The activity took place in the Argentinian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CAECOPAZ, acronym in Spanish), located in Mayo Camp, in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The preparation of the Argentinian contingent was coordinated by a Brazilian team composed of the following military personnel: LT COL Cayres, MAJ Silva Mendes, WO Sydney and 1ST SGT Franco. This was the first time that a female foreign trainer was invited to support the training.

CPT Camila Paiva gave instructions on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, Conflict Related Sexual Violence and English for peace missions. She also supported the final exercise by participating in the Exercise Management, as well as acting as a role player.
