CCOPAB sends Mobile Training Team to Ecuador

Quito (Ecuador) – From 09 September to 24 of this year, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), Sergio Vieira de Mello Center, sent a mobile training team to the city of Quito in Ecuador. The team provided training in Humanitarian Demining and Explosive Removal to the Ecuadorian Army, according to the minutes of the 10th Bilateral Conference of General Staff between the Brazilian and Ecuadorian Army.

The mobile training team was composed by CPT João Maurício Dias Lopes Valdetaro, CPT Ronald Felipe de Paula Santana, 1st SGT Alan Barbosa Alves and 2nd SGT Romulo Gomes Casale.

During the internship, which was carried out at the Engineering Battalion, theoretical instructions were given and practical activities were developed in the field, addressing the topic in accordance with the International Standards for Mine Action, advocated by the United Nations Mine Action Service.
