CCOPAB receives the Chief of Staff Officer from the Navy

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – 22 May, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center – received the visit of Admiral LISEO ZAMPRONIO, Chief of Staff Officer from the Navy. The aim of this visit was to get to know CCOPAB and its capabilities, because Admiral LISEO ZAMPRONIO is going to be deployed to work as a Military Adviser at a Brazilian Permanent Mission at UN, in New York.

After the military honors, Admiral LISEO ZAMPRONIO greeted the officers from CCOPAB. Then attended a lecture that was delivered by COL Marco Antônio Estevão MACHADO, CCOPAB's commander, as well as presentations regarding the preparation of the military personnel, civilians and police officers, from Brazil and friendly nations, who are designed to PKOs missions and Humanitarian Demining.

The Chief of Staff Officer from the Navy also visited the following facilities of CCOPAB: Delta Camp, the French Lab, Haiti Memorial - a tribute for those who died after the earthquake that hit that country in 2010. At Delta Camp, he had the chance of attending a PKO activity that was being carried out. To finish, Admiral LISEO ZAMPRONIO signed CCOPAB's book of honour.
