CCOPAB participates in International Conference in Egypt

Egypt – Between September 11 and 14, the commander of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), Colonel Ramires, participated in the 23rd Annual Conference of the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centers (IAPTC). Major General David, Ops Officer of the Land Operations Command (COTER, acronym in Portuguese), Brazilian Ambassador in Egypt, Ruy Amaral, the military attaché in Egypt, Colonel Negrão and the representative of the Brazilian Ministry of Defense, Colonel Átila attended the event as well.

The 2017 International Conference was held at the Cairo Center for Conflict Resolution and Peacekeeping in Africa (CCCPA) and it addressed relevant topics regarding peace operations around the world in many panels and group discussions.

The Annual Conference is the main activity IAPTC carries out. It serves 65 institutions related to peace operations and more than 50 countries. The International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centers aims at establishing a regular interchange of information and better practices regarding training programs and research, which results in improved operational effectiveness and efficiency in the field.
