CCOPAB prepares Brazilian Navy personnel for peace mission in the Middle East

Between July 10 and 14, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) carried out the Commander and Staff Course for the Maritime Task Force of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL/MTF).

The aim of the Course was to train Brazilian Navy military personnel, designated to be Staff Officers of the UNIFIL/MTF, the Commander, the Chief Officer and Chief department officers of the next Flagship of the mission in Lebanon. The Course covered topics related to the mission in the Middle East. The Core Pre-Deployment Training Materials (CPTM) were used as a reference guide during the instructions, since they cover the basic and necessary contents for those who are deployed to UN peace missions. The Course also counted on the experience of former members of the mission in Lebanon.
