Commanders and Joint Staff of the 26th Brazilian Contingent for the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti conclude preparation at CCOPAB

After theoretical and practical activities, the Command and Joint Staff of the 26th Brazilian contingent for the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti concluded the second phase of the Unit Commanders and Joint Staff Course (EPCOEM), which was held from January 29 to February 03, at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB).

EPCOEM is the starting point of the technical training which is required for the development of activities related to troop contingent in a mission under the aegis of the United Nations. The second phase of the course consisted of topics such as rules of engagement, UNPKO legal framework, human rights, criminal enquiry and logistics. A Command Post Exercise was carried out, and the trainees could put into practice situations that they might face in Haiti.

The Brazilian contingent of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti is supposed to be deployed in the Caribbean country still in the first semester of 2017.
