Almost ten years after the creation of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), its Transitional Phase started, having a gradual transference of the responsibilities, until then carried out by MINUSTAH, to the Hatitian Government. As a consequence, kinetic operations aimed at maintaining a secure and stable environment, carried out by the military component, decreased slowly.
This article presents the view of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) about the 10 years of the Brazilian participation in the UN peace operation in Haiti (MINUSTAH). It addresses the evolution of the UN doctrine and the consequences in the use of new concepts by the Brazilian troop.
